New Pictures

Some new pictures from my travels.  These will not be shown in the order they were taken as these two images would be well out of date by the time they came around.  Taken last Tuesday in Tokyo when the cherry blossoms were at perfection and the day sunny and mild.

Lovely Things

The top image is of a Sudanese Children's woven rug that we purchased from a Melbourne gallery some time ago.  It is very large and just how all the pictures of birds and animals, trees and houses have been done and combined I do not know.  The other picture is of one of the last Cambellii Magnolia flowers in a cube vase on my table.  I am taking a break for a little while and hope to have some new pictures of pots when I return.

Faces

This strange growth on one of my eucalyptus trees nearly merited another eye in Photoshop.  The other is a reflected image of a three pin power outlet showing on a plywood wall.  This shadow only appears one day every six months when the sun is in just the right position.

Tree Knots

These knots have grown where some branches were removed from my walnut tree some years ago.  The top picture makes me think of a sausage on a plate.

Evening Sun

The very late sun on these clear summer evenings has been a pleasure to see.  It has been very hot and dry but, by this time of day it is starting to cool, and being outside is most enjoyable.

Too Late for a Christmas Lily

These are too late to be Christmas lilies but are looking wonderful right now. Hope you enjoy them.

In the Garden

A couple of pictures from around the house.  The fern a new one taken from one we planted many years ago.   It seems to like this spot.  The bamboo leaves are on a black stemmed bamboo just outside my bathroom window.
